Marigolds, Birds and Butterflies

This two-tier cake was made for a Bridal Shower in May of 2007. The cake was inspired by the shower favors - jordan almonds and a bird in a handcrafted nest - and the marigold and rose centerpieces.

Sugar paste yellow flowers climb the cake while chocolate birds accent the tiers.

The cake topper features two love birds sitting in a chocolate nest.

Spring Garden Themed Cake

This beautiful pair of cakes was made for a christening with a ladybug and garden theme. Colorful sugar paste flowers adorn the cake, a sugar paste fence surrounds it and marzipan ladybugs are dotted throughout. The compliment cake on the right is sugar-free, suitable for diabetics.

A delicious tasting and looking cake - little blondie here couldn't resist.

Bible Cake

Made for a Christening in February 2009. Fondant covered, decorated in blue and brown buttercream icing. Inside is pound cake and vanilla buttercream.

Pastry trays were made for each table with assorted pastries: macaroons, eclairs, baklava. The center cake - a Gran Marnier Torte - was designed to match the bible cake.

Wedding Cake

This cake, made for a wedding reception at the House of Blues in the summer of 2007, was inspired by a cake of Margaret Braun's (in her book Cakewalk). It was adapted to match the wedding decor.
It is handpainted with gold leaf and food coloring over fondant. Stars were made from royal icing.
